Saturday’s title matchup has been set for doubles play in the Tiburon Challenger, with wild card entry Ezekiel Clark and Alfredo Perez scheduled to take on Leandro Riedi and Valentin Vacherot.

Clark and Perez took a 6-1, 6-4 win over Charles Broom and Constantin Frantzen in Friday’s semifinals. Meanwhile, Riedi and Vacherot eliminated wild card Siddhant Banthia and Carl Emil Overbeck, 6-4, 6-3.

Top-seeded Denis Kudla held off a fierce challenge from No. 5 seed Enzo Couacaud, 7-5, 7-6 (8), in Friday’s quarterfinal singles action.

Unseeded Zachary Svajda continued his run, with a 6-3, 7-6 (3) win over No. 7 Ernesto Escobedo. Svajda, who has now eliminated two seeded players, is scheduled to face Alexis Galarneau in the semifinals. Galarneau pulled out a 6-3, 6-7 (3), 6-4 win over Paul Jubb to advance.

In the last match off the court Friday, Ben Shelton out dueled Mitchell Krueger, 6-3, 6-4, to earn a semifinal matchup with Kudla.

The struggle for first place in the MCAL standings looks like it will go down to the wire this season. Redwood (4-0) earned a 10-1 victory over Tam on Thursday to tighten the race with Marin Catholic (3-0) and Archie Williams (4-0).

Redwood’s Adella Frender and Kate Deforest each scored three goals in Thursday’s victory, while Sydney Moseley scored two goals and Sawyer Barta and Mia Kelly each added a goal. Annabel Smith scored for Tam.

On the boys side, Redwood defeated team 17-7.

Tam needed a sweep of singles competition and ad doubles win to lock up a 5-2 victory over Marin Catholic on Thursday.

Gabriella Plonowski, Lina Stuart, Maria Jose-Stuart and Louise McGinness each earned singles for the Hawks in two sets, but there was a little more drama in the doubles play.

Hannah Periana and Amalie Stoker fought hard to hold off Marin Catholic’s Ceci Hachman and Lauren Sommerville, 6-2, 7-6 (3), at No. 3 singles. The No. 2 doubles match needed three sets to crown a winner, as the Wildcats’ Georgia Compagno and Heidi Koch rallied, 5-7, 6-3, 10-4.

• Terra Linda edged crosstown rival San Rafael, 4-3, Thursday for the Trojans’ first win of the season. Freshman Jamie Schmidt earned the deciding win at No. 1 singles in a match that ended in a 10-7 tiebreaker.
