The 2022 MLB Field of Dreams game will take place Thursday, August 11 between the Chicago Cubs and the Cincinnati Reds, and that means fans can get their hands on special edition throwback gear for the two teams to celebrate the occasion.
The Field of Dreams game celebrates the popular 1989 Kevin Costner sports drama, “Field of Dreams,” at the Dyersville, Iowa stadium that was constructed for the movie. Well, sort of. The movie set couldn’t be brought to MLB standards, so they built a separate venue nearby for the annual game, the first of which was played in 2021.
