COLUMBIA, Mo. — The University of Missouri Department of Athletics announced the inaugural Truman's Trot, a 5k and fun run through campus on Sunday, Sept. 18, 2022, to benefit the Celebration of Women's Sports Fund.

The 5k will start at 8 a.m. CT with the fun run following at 9 a.m.

Registration for both events is open now and racers are encouraged to sign up online. A $40 entrance fee will be required for all 5k participants with a $10 fee for fun run entrants.

Once the sign-up process is complete, participants are to visit the registration tent located in parking lot W on the morning of race day. Same-day signups will be permitted at the tent site.

The starting line for each race will be located next to Stankowski Field. Parking information will be released at a later date.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the athletic department's newly established fund which seeks to enhance the experience of Missouri female student-athletes and their respective programs.

Anyone who signs up to participate will receive an official Truman's Trot T-shirt along with post-race snacks. Truman the Tiger will be in attendance to encourage runners and interact with fans throughout the day.
