Christmas is only a few short weeks away, which means the citizens of McKinney should carefully check their naughty and beautiful list! If you don't know where to start shopping locally, here are some of the best stores in McKinney to help you get started.

214 N Kentucky Street, Suite A, McKinney, TX 75069 Instagram: @habitat-plants

Everyone has at least one green thumb and plant addict in their lives, so habitat plants are a necessity in the gift list. This store not only has a large selection of home plants: they also sell plant accessories, watering cans, breeding stations, flower pots, lace hangers, gift cards, coasters and T-shirts.

While you are there, order their seasonal latte (hot or iced, whichever way is delicious) and grab a bag of Landline espresso beans from their specialty roaster, Viewfinder Coffee. Karina (owner) and her staff are very knowledgeable about plants and would be happy to take you home with a new leafy friend! This brand new place is one of McKinney's best stores.

219 E Louisiana Street, McKinney, TX 75069 Instagram: @fairimports

Pet an alpaca statue made of real wool from Peru; smell loose leaf tea from Ethiopia; or listen to wooden wind chimes from Indonesia. This is the ideal place to find unique gifts!

221 E Louisiana Street, McKinney, TX 75069 Instagram: @texasmonkeybusiness

During this holiday season, the Texas Monkey Business is wobbly because their inventory is...bananas! Puns aside, this store may look like a sports fan store at first glance, but you will find more if you learn more. TMB sells Pokémon cards, Funko Pop!, themed socks, Lego blocks, and authorized collector toys from various franchises, including Star Wars and Harry Potter. Continue to the back and you will find that every fan’s dream has come true: college and professional sports goods, from glasses to stickers, from playing cards to all kinds of clothing. Don’t forget to say hello to the shopkeeper, Jim!

214 N Kentucky Street, Suite B, McKinney, TX 75069 Instagram: @whiterocksoapgallery

The McKinney location of the White Rock Soap Gallery is one of four locations in Dallas Fort Worth, offering a variety of handmade candles, body care and bath products. Their best-selling products are ointments, lip balm, vegan soap and soy candles. They also offer a $15 box that you can fill with lip balm, bath salts, candles and one of their best-selling vegan soaps! Just walking through their open door is pleasant, because they always have a candle wafting on Kentucky Street. Stop, don't hesitate to ask employees for advice, because they all use many products.
