 Senior outside hitter Syra Tanchin has been named the TicketSmarter Summit League Co-Offensive Peak Performer of the Week for the first time in her career, the league office announced on Tuesday afternoon. Elizabeth Juhnke from South Dakota was also tabbed Co-Offensive Peak Performer of the Week.

 Tanchin has helped the Bison (12-5, 5-0 Summit) to their first 5-0 start in Summit League play since 2010. She connected on a team-high 49 kills and averaged a team-best 4.45 kills per set last week. Tanchin reached double digits in kills in all three matches, including a career-high 26 kills in the upset win over South Dakota. She also added a .368 hitting percentage, 22 digs, five blocks and five service aces to her stat line.

 Tanchin has totaled 229 kills this season and ranks third in the Summit League. She is also averaging 3.69 kills per set, which ranks fourth in the conference.

 North Dakota climbed back into the Stats Perform Top 25 this week after its win against Missouri State on Oct. 1, giving the Missouri Valley Football Conference five ranked teams in that poll.  North Dakota State and South Dakota State continue to hold the top two spots.  Nine MVFC teams rank in the Top 30 of the Sagarin football ratings, which includes eight of the Top 20, and three among the Top 8.  The same nine MVFC schools rank in the Top 38 of the Massey FCS computer rankings.  Notably, nine MVFC programs rank in the Top 20 of Massey’s Strength of Schedule ratings, which includes South Dakota, which has the FCS’ hardest SOS.  The MVFC is the top-rated FCS league in the Sagarin, followed by the Big Sky, ASUN, Southern, and WAC.

 North Dakota State University basketball season tickets for 2022-23 are on sale now, and single-game tickets will be available beginning Oct. 15.

 The Bison men open with an exhibition game vs. Minnesota-Crookston on Wednesday, Nov. 2, inside the Scheels Center. Following games at back-to-back Elite Eight squad Arkansas and defending national champion Kansas during the first week of the regular season, the NDSU men return to Fargo for the home opener vs. Pacific on Sunday, Nov. 13.

 The Bison women have four home games before Thanksgiving this season, headlined by a showdown with Minnesota at the Scheels Center on Thursday, Nov. 17.
